Can’t believe it’s already been four weeks since the release of the US version of Rachel Khoo’s Kitchen Notebook – how time flies!

As with any recipe book, a lot of care and attention goes into the styling and ‘look and feel’ of every single page – from the clothes I wear, the utensils I use, right down to the pots, pans, crockery and utensils you see. Take a behind-the-scenes peek at how the creative process works – I think you’ll be surprised at the amount of thought involved.

Here are some of my current favourites, for achieving that Kitchen Notebook feel at home.

*1 – You’ll have noticed from my TV shows and cookbooks that I have a real penchant for copper pots! These little pot-belly copper pots by Food 52 are perfect for everyday use or as a stylish little display piece.

*2 – These little bowl sets, also from Food 52, come in two different colours and are just perfect used for mixing or serving any tasty little treat in. They add a pop of colour and a touch of vintage charm to any kitchen. I particularly like that they come in a set of three different sizes.

*3 – You don’t need to own a coffee machine to make good use of these brightly coloured latte bowls by Anthropologie – they can double as serving or mixing bowls, or a great vessel for your morning cereal or the lovely salad or soup you were planning for lunch. This canary yellow colour is a real favourite of mine – you have probably noticed I wear a lot of yellow in my books and on television!

4* – Enamel kitchenware is always a winner in my book – sturdy, hard-wearing and reminiscent of the dishes and bakeware older generations are so familiar with. These little cereal bowls from Crow Canyon Home will add a little vintage chic to any home – no matter what your style. You can also use them to bake mini pies, tarts, or any individual serving in.

*5 – You can never have enough colourful dishes in a kitchen. These lovely serving bowls from Anthropologie make a great centrepiece for the dining table – great brimming with salads or other vibrant food to serve your guests.

*6 – I’m a huge fan of nicely designed stationary, and a notebook is something I always have to hand. This journal, also from Anthropologie, is the perfect size to throw in your handbag for everyday use, or to keep at home for recording all those important dates and details.

If you’ve spotted any kitchenware, clothing, or other bits and pieces you think feel very Kitchen Notebook-y, please leave your top picks and where you’ve spotted them in the comments below!
